[tlv] lie detection opt-in

SO. In canon, Wade has the ability to discern—apparently with total accuracy—when someone is lying to him. This isn't any kind of magic power or superhuman ability, simply (from what I can tell) the result of lifelong trust issues coupled with obsessive tendencies and observational skills. Even in the context of his canon, there are a lot of limitations: if somebody lies by omission or believes what they're telling him is true, it won't set off any alarm bells. (On the show, a member of the white supremacist organization he's actively investigating successfully takes him on a quasi-date then lures him to her base of operations by sticking to what is technically the truth the entire time.)
I'm making this strictly opt-in, though if you want to opt out and would like to come up with an IC reason for it here, I'm super down! On the other hand, if your character habitually lies about something and you're dying for them to be found out, by all means mention it. (I can't promise Wade'll immediately call them out, but he won't forget it.)
ALSO: as far as the network goes, this definitely won't work on audio or text-based communication. I'm inclined to say he'd be able to do it via video, but there's a lot of wiggle room and I'm happy to go with whatever's most interesting for the thread!

Can Wade tell when your character is lying? Any special circumstances that might prevent him from doing so? Provided that his tenuous relationship with existence doesn't get in the way (more on that on his permissions), sure!
Are there any Deep Secrets™ your character has that you'd like brought to light? Anything they regularly lie about? There are a lot of secrets Xigbar doesn't talk about! Most of them involve KH3 spoilers though (and also possibly spoilers for the DLC that literally just came out today) so while I'm game for those coming to light at some point if you wanna steer clear, that's cool too. As for what he most regularly lies about, that'd probably be that he feels an emotion (he can't, by virtue of being quite literally unable to), but see also the points below.
Generally speaking, how often does your character lie? So, Xigbar is a cryptic bastard at heart, which means that he's hardly ever being completely truthful about anything. However, he tends to do it in the same sort of way that, say, the fae are traditionally described as working - lies of omission, incomplete truths, doublespeak, and truths hidden behind Very Specific Word choices (that often sound like he's saying something else) are just as common as outright lies. And it should be noted that he's surprisingly good at presenting the image he wants people to see instead of the actual truth, to the point that he manages to fool the main antagonist of Kingdom Hearts for the more-than-a-decade that they spent working together.
And for the others....
Character name: Nikola Tesla (
Can Wade tell when your character is lying? Any special circumstances that might prevent him from doing so? Sure! The sort of vampire Tesla is is very explicitly not undead, so that wouldn't complicate things any.
Are there any Deep Secrets™ your character has that you'd like brought to light? Anything they regularly lie about? Nope! He does have some skeletons in the closet, but I don't think anything would really be gained by bringing them to light.
Generally speaking, how often does your character lie? Not a whole lot, these days. Most of what he's historically tended to lie about have been his motives for doing things, and he's been doing a lot better about that on the Barge.
Character name: Andred (
Can Wade tell when your character is lying? Any special circumstances that might prevent him from doing so? Sure! Andred is mildly telepathic (predominantly by touch), but I don't see any reason that would keep Wade from being able to tell if he's lying.
Are there any Deep Secrets™ your character has that you'd like brought to light? Anything they regularly lie about? There are definitely some things in his past that he hasn't spoken about much? But I don't think they're anything that needs to come out either.
Generally speaking, how often does your character lie? Not a whole lot! He's not particularly open about a lot of things, but his tendency is more to clam up than directly lie.
